Pachisi Game Rules
Legacy Wham Bam rules snapshot. Review and update in the visual editor before publishing.
Entering a Tourney
- Ins are taken and placed as they ask in. Do not enter the tourney until you are ready to sit.
- Hosts may vary how they assign tables and may fill one table first or spread players across tables.
- Please do not ask in if you or your pard are still in another tourney, another room, or not in the room.
- If you ask for a sub or time out, you may not enter the next tourney until the tournament you were playing in is finished, except where the format specifically allows a teamie to enter you.
- Gagged players may have another player ask the host to enter them.
- Please sit quickly once assigned. Seat choice rules are left to the host.
- Once seated, do not change seat colour in singles or team colours in pards unless the format/rules allow the change with your pard.
- Players are responsible for watching the lobby and choosing when to IN if they want or wish to avoid a particular table or colour.
- If you OUT after your original seat has been filled, you cannot IN again for that same tournament.
- You may not OUT, change nicknames, and re-enter under another nickname.
- If you enter a pard format as a single, you may be assigned another single waiting for a pard.
- If your pard leaves before ALL START, you have until ALL START to find another pard or the host may assign one.
- If a blocked player is assigned to your table, you must unblock or stand so the player can sit, or you may forfeit according to host instructions.
- Players are timed from ALL START/assignment to start their game and can be replaced when the allowed time expires.
Gameplay
- It is each player's responsibility to know the format and make sure table options are correct. Call the host if settings are wrong.
- There is no reseating once all four players have completed a turn, except where the host determines a game cannot continue because of a glitch.
- If blocks are accidentally enabled in a no-block format, players may not use them.
- Play in a timely manner. Hosts may ask a player with connection problems to reboot and return within the allowed time.
- Kibitz rules vary by format. PRO qualifying events, BOSP-era events, monthly playoffs/finals and TOC historically did not allow kibitzing.
- No table talk. The tournament host's ruling determines whether something is table talk.
- Good sportsmanship is expected.
- Report boots to the host and do not use Remove unless instructed.
